The Loop Head Lighthouse had been guiding merchant ships along the West Coast for a long time with vital consignments safely reaching the beer fans of Clare via this old maritime route.
These days, beer is shipped out of the county too. Like this crisp, dry Pilsner you're holding. Enjoy its slightly fruity finish and think of the fresh crush of the Atlantic waves The Loop Head Lighthouse watches over.
The full-bodied effervescent consistency stimulates the senses, the rich dark amber coloris pleasing to the eye, the full round taste is convincing the mouth. More natural yeast (from our own yeast cultures) and less carbonic acid make our “Special Edition” a particularly valuable beer enjoyment.
Tropical sour.
Strong dark brown with a delicate caramel flavor. Soft to drink with pleasant proud dark ale character, wonderfully full-bodied. Our Dark is brewed according to an old tradition from over 400 years. A beer from the good old times.

We all know that Ireland is no stranger to clouds. That said, on the cloud spectrum (which runs from dreary to happy), it’s our friend the Cumulus that lets us know that we’ve got a sunny day, ripe for outdoor adventure and, perhaps, a barbecue. Cumulus are the puffy, fluffy heaps of cloud that we drew as kids, a signifier of fair weather – or of The Simpsons’ opening sequence.
This cloudy IPA was brewed with Irish pale ale malt, wheat and oats. It has a juicy hop aroma, rounded out with a dry hop addition of NZ’s Nelson Sauvin for an extra fruity gooseberry hit. We’ve got intense tropical fruit flavours here, a soft body and smooth mouthfeel: just what we need for those Cumulus days.
Harris Pale Ale is a well-balanced hop forward pale ale inspired by the Limerick hell raiser. A generous helping of Cascade hops gives this tawny colored ale, a citrus aroma and flavour. A blend of the finest pale and caramel malts gives a complex malt character while keeping the hops in the forefront.
Fondly known as “Yellowcap”, Scraggy Bay is a balanced golden ale with a snappy little bite of hops.
Lough Swilly’s natural and cultural history is captured in the Irish and English placenames that mark its coastal features. Beneath the Knockalla Hills lies Scraggy Bay, giving us a local maritime name for a style of beer with a great maritime past.
